Website & Online Order Terms

Your order information

• Please provide accurate product choices, quantities, sizes and contact details.
• You are responsible for the content you upload, including having the rights and permissions to print it.
• You are responsible for reviewing your artwork before approval, including the correct front and back versions, spelling, names, numbers and contact details, dimensions, orientation, bleed and safe area, and image resolution.
• Any technical file check we perform (preflight) looks at print-readiness only. It is not proofreading and does not verify the accuracy or legality of your content.
• Approving your artwork confirms its content and layout. It does not release us from responsibility for our own production errors.

Artwork approval and production start

• Production of each item starts only after the order is paid and the artwork actually attached to that item has been approved for production by our team. If artwork is missing or rejected, that item is held until suitable artwork is approved.
• Uploading a file or paying for an order does not by itself mean the artwork has been approved for production.

Proofs and colour

• Digital screen proofs show content and layout. They cannot show exactly how colours will look in print.
• For colour-critical work, please ask for a quoted hard-copy proof before you approve. We do not guarantee an exact colour match unless we have separately agreed to it in writing.

Changes after ordering

• To request a change, contact orders@atelierltd.ca promptly with your order number. Uploading a replacement file alone does not change a job that has already been released to production.
• We will confirm whether the job can still be stopped or changed and tell you any revised price or timing before doing additional chargeable work. Revised artwork must be approved again before production. We do not add fees for changes you have not agreed to.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in Canadian dollars.
• Applicable taxes and shipping are shown before payment where available.
• Quote-required items cannot be paid for online until we confirm the specifications and price.
• Advertised prices are attainable, except for government-imposed charges such as sales tax.
• We do not add mandatory fixed fees at checkout that were not included in or disclosed with the advertised price.
• Variable charges, such as shipping or quoted work, are shown or confirmed before you pay.
• Online orders must be paid in full before custom production begins. A different payment or deposit arrangement applies only if expressly agreed in a separate written quote.
• Custom quotes state their scope, inclusions, payment terms and any expiry date. If specifications change, an updated quote must be agreed before the changed work proceeds.
• For our initial launch, online orders can be shipped only to delivery addresses within Alberta, Canada, or picked up free in Calgary.

Online contract disclosure and confirmation

• Before final payment, you will be shown: a clear description and configuration of each product; our business identity and contact information; the itemized product price; taxes; shipping and any other known charges; the currency; payment terms; delivery or pickup arrangements, or that shipping is quote-required; our cancellation and refund policy; and any material restrictions or limitations.
• You will have an opportunity to review and correct errors, and to expressly accept or decline the order, immediately before purchase.
• We will send you a written or electronic order confirmation promptly after purchase and, where Alberta's Internet Sales Contract Regulation applies, within 15 days. It can be kept and printed, and includes your name and address, the date, the products and configuration, the total and currency, taxes, shipping, payment terms, delivery arrangements, our cancellation and refund policy, and our business contact information.

Placing an order

• You can review and correct your order before you submit it.
• Your order is placed electronically and we send an electronic confirmation.
• Custom production begins only after payment is received and artwork requirements are met.
• Production time estimates start once the order is paid and production-ready artwork is approved. Production time and carrier transit time are separate, and revisions can change the estimate.
• Production and delivery times are estimates unless we confirm a date with you in writing.
• Rush service is available only if we confirm in writing its availability, price and deadline before you accept.

Pricing or specification errors

• If we find an error in an online price or product description, we will tell you before proceeding. You may agree to the correction, or cancel and receive a refund for the affected order that has not been fulfilled.
• We will not charge you a higher price, or substitute a materially different stock or specification, without your agreement.

Your artwork and rights

• You keep your rights in the files you supply. You give us permission to reproduce and process them only as needed to quote, proof, produce and fulfil your work.
• We will not use your work in our portfolio or advertising without your separate permission.
• Ownership and licensing of design work we are separately commissioned to create are set out in the written quote for that work.

Content we may refuse

• We may refuse or cancel work that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is unsafe. If we cancel a paid order for this reason before production, we will refund the payment.

Colour and material variation

• Printed colours can differ from screens and between materials and print runs.
• Small, reasonable variations in colour, material, cutting and finishing are normal and are not defects.
• Reasonable variation does not cover the wrong stock, size or configuration, or any material departure from the order you approved.

Our responsibility

• If we make a production error, we will address it under our Refund, Cancellation & Production Error Policy.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable law that cannot be excluded.

Mandatory provincial and territorial consumer rights

• These terms do not exclude, restrict or waive any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the consumer protection law of your province or territory.
• Where the law of your province or territory gives you a right to cancel an internet or distance contract — for example because required information was not disclosed before the contract, you were not given a chance to correct, accept or decline the order, a copy of the contract was not delivered as required, or the goods or services were not supplied within the time set by law — those rights prevail over our custom-order cancellation rules.
• Because our products are custom made, we do not offer a general change-of-mind or cooling-off right, except where applicable law provides one.

Marketing emails

• Promotional emails are sent only with consent where required by law, identify Atelier LTD, and include a working unsubscribe option. Unsubscribe requests are honoured without delay and no later than 10 business days. Order, payment, proof and shipping emails are transactional and separate.

General

• Except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise, these terms are governed by Alberta law and applicable federal law. Consumers also retain any mandatory rights and forums provided by the law of their province or territory.
• If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• We may update these terms; the version shown when you place an order applies to that order.

Service area

• Online checkout currently supports delivery within Alberta and free local pickup in Calgary only. We do not currently offer online consumer sales targeted to Quebec.
